Colin Ross passed Roma on his trip from Sydney to Cairns. This second part of his Australian journey lasted from early August until early November 1929, when he embarked in Cairns for Port Moresby (Territory of Papua), to arrive on November 4, 1929. Despite this departure date, the dateline claims that the text was written in December in Atherton, Queensland.
