According to Ross’s writing and photography captioning in his travel book Haha Whenua - das Land, das ich gesucht (1933), much of this sequence was shot not in a remote village, but in the town of Hanuabada near Port Moresby. Shipping information dates Colin Ross’s arrival in Port Moresby on November 4, 1929 and his departure from there on November 18, 1929.
