Interestingly, this article has a strikingly different dateline than the corresponding chapter in Ross’s book Der unvollendete Kontinent (1930): There, the dateline says Artherton, here it is Tambo. Both this placement and the dateline information of “autumn” (understood in the northern hemisphere meaning of the term) indicate that this was written in September or October 1929, before Ross left Australia on November 1, 1929.
