According to Colin Ross, he and his family left for the trip inland, from Adelaide towards Lake Eyre, on Good Friday, March 29, 1929. They passed Tanunda on March 31, attending Easter Sunday mass. A newspaper item dates their return to Adelaide on April 11, 1929.
