Fredericksburg 2
Ross left New York City on January 15, 1939, at the earliest. From there he and his family drove down the east coast to Florida, stopping at Richmond and Colonial Williamsburg, VA, and Charleston, SC, along the way. In Florida they spent quite some time—it may have been a holiday in view of the footage made at a resort and a trailer park. Ross also had a speaking engagement in Miami, even though it is not clear when exactly.1 So it may well have been early February before Ross, his wife, and Ralph reached Fredericksburg, in central Texas.
It has not been unambiguously established whether all the footage in this sequence was shot around Fredericksburg, TX.
