Northern Rivers
The travel book Der unvollendete Kontinent (1930) shows the Rosses camping in the same scenery, identified as being the Northern Rivers region, before a visit to Brisbane. This places the sequence on the trip from Sydney to Cairns. This second part of his Australian journey lasted from early August, when Ross left Sydney, until early November 1929, when he embarked in Cairns for Port Moresby (Territory of Papua), to arrive on November 4, 1929.
